Aspen Fog
McClure Pass, Colorado
The thing that makes this image striking for me is how subtle the details are. This was shot in September when the aspen leaves were just starting to change. Through the icy fog you can see the brilliant greens and yellows. Due to the limited visibility, the destination of the seldom driven road is unknown. It is better that way, because one can now imagine where it leads.
